A bit of housekeeping:
I’m back on Instagram at cultivating.heart if you’d like to stay in touch that way
Radiating Heart Sessions via Zoom are paused for the summer (lots of camping means no wifi and bad signal!)

I love the extended mornings and evenings of summer. In particular how the long light gifts the drawing out of these in between threshold times transitioning from one day to the next. I love how when the light hits just right, the sky transforms into something otherworldly.
I have a thing for threshold places, probably because I feel so much to be in a transitionary space at this time, not quite knowing just how or where to land.
As I write, I wonder does this idea of ‘settled’ even really exist? Our world and our lives are, by nature, cyclical - ever moving, ever changing.

If settled is more a feeling than a way of being, can we practice in times of change and transition a softening and opening, instead of the instinct to tighten and push forward? In the words of Pema Chödrön, can we embrace groundlessness?
I have learnt that whilst I’m floating between one step and the next, it’s important to feel supported. This support can take many different forms: friends, family, home, land, teachings, practices …
Here, I look for things to hold me like the trees and the moors and the stillness.

When I first moved to the cabin I dreamt of a cosy quiet corner full of flower friends I could lean on, this corner has finally come to fruition. Some mornings I sit on the bench as creeping clematis extends her tendrils out in friendship as sweet pea reminds me to savour the moment and echinacea encourages me to turn towards the light.
If you, like me, find yourself in a threshold place, be it in your in your job, relationships, home, health or mindset, you may like to join Mia and I on our next yoga and sound evening ‘Summer Stillness’. Set in the enchanted gardens of Cadenham Manor, it is a time and space to allow the trees and flowers and sounds wrap round you and hold you gently in your transition.
Join Mia Macallister for some outdoor yoga and sound! Summer Stillness is an evening of nature connection, yoga and sound journeying at Cadenham Manor.
Enjoy exclusive access to the enchanting four acre garden transformed by Victoria’s grandmother Elizabeth Blackwell. Weave and wander your way between yew hedges and moats to explore the abundance of flowers interspersed by rooms full of vegetables and fruit trees.
